The lead inspector reported,
“The Director and Education Support Manager demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the AEGIS Quality Standards, explaining clear and appropriate procedures for safer recruitment, safeguarding students, provision of homestays and liaison with schools. The Education Support Manager gave numerous examples of how they have supported students extremely well, explaining how frequent contact is maintained to ensure that their needs are met. The Education Support Manager is also the designated safeguarding lead for the guardianship organisation and understands how to handle a concern should one arise. They are aware of the importance of liaising with external agencies where required.”
Preliminary Accreditation ensures that the essential standards are in place in order to provide educational guardianship.
