The lead inspector reported,
“Safer recruitment checks are well used when recruiting staff or homestays and are known or recommended to the Director. Safeguarding is taken seriously, and staff and homestays are trained and updated regularly. The Director is also the DSL and is suitably trained for this role. She is aware of procedures around concerns and allegations and how these should be reported. The guardianship organisation has made good links with the local authorities and social services and is looking to expand this further. The DSL is also in contact with school’s DSL.”
