d’Overbroeck’s is a leading UK independent school in the heart of Oxford. A number of factors combine to make d’Overbroeck’s a unique place of study: academic excellence, an outstanding record of university entrance, including a high proportion of students gaining places at Russell Group universities, a wide-ranging programme of sports and activities and our Oxford location.

We offer three different programmes to our students:

SIXTH FORM (A Level) for students aged 16-18/19 years. This is a 2 year programme offering a choice of 35 subjects. Our students regularly achieve excellent academic results and many also produce an Extended Project based on their chosen area of study. Every student has his/her own Director of Studies, who helps students with their academic progress as well as with their university choice and application procedure. http://www.doverbroecks.com/sixthform/ Last year our students achieved 25% A* at A level and 55% grade A.

GCSE (PRE A-LEVEL) programme for students aged 15-16/17. This 1 year programme at our International School is taught in small groups (10-12 students). Our students achieved impressive results last year with 38% achieving A* or A grades in their GCSE exams! Our IS students have priority to external students when applying for our A level programme. http://www.doverbroecks.com/international

Pre-GCSE programme for students aged 14-15. A 2 year course which introduces students to the concepts studied at GCSE in the first year before moving onto the full GCSE curriculum in the second year. The termly modular structure of the first year means that students can join in term 1, 2 or 3 and then continue onto the GCSE year. Students in both years receive English language tuition alongside their studies and communicate with their teachers and fellow students in English outside of the classroom, thus building on their language skills.

In all parts of the school there are a wide range of activities on offer, both sports other extra-curricuar activities as well as optional social events.
