Scottish Overseas Guardianship Association Awarded Preliminary Accreditation

By Aegis UK September 14, 2022

The Scottish Overseas Guardianship Association (SOGA) offers pastoral care and academic guardianship services for international students whilst they are studying in Scotland. Founded in 1987, the company is a family run business.

The lead inspector reported:
“Numbers are kept purposely small so that the director and the homestays get to know the students well. This helps ensure their safety and wellbeing whilst in the care of the guardianship organisation… Communication with schools is regular and the guardianship organisation ensures that all required information is shared and requests acted upon promptly, for example when asked to source uniform items at short notice. The DSL understands the need to work with counterparts in schools should there be a need.”
AEGIS Preliminary Accreditation ensures all the essential requirements are in place to provide safe educational guardianship for international students.
