St. George’s Guardians Awarded Preliminary Accreditation

By Aegis UK January 17, 2022

St. George’s Guardians is based in Hastings, on the south coast of England. The guardianship company has a vast range of experience within the educational industry, having welcomed students from all around the world, from some 40 different countries over a period of around 20 years.
We welcome St. George’s Guardians as a Preliminary Accredited member of AEGIS
The lead inspector commented,

“Staff understand the importance of communicating with staff in the schools which students attend. This includes pastoral and academic staff. Effective working relationships with school staff are fostered and this ensures that students’ needs are met efficiently.”

We asked Carol Dunn, Designated Safeguarding Lead at St. George’s, how she found the inspection process:
“The Pandemic has asked a great deal of guardians and guardianship organisations over the last 2 years, where many of us  have had to quickly realise previously unused skills and learn new processes, putting them into action at great speed!  During this time we found the helpful and professional staff at AEGIS, with their close links to government departments, invaluable!
Here at St George’s Guardians we had to put much into place with our Multiple Student Accommodation. Normally used as a relaxing place for half terms and holidays, it suddenly became a quarantine station working under very strict Government Guidelines, and which soon became full!
Despite the extra workload we were still determined to follow our quest to achieve a level of excellence in safeguarding services for our international students with the help of AEGIS.
AEGIS made following this path informative, interesting, and enjoyable.  The professional team, from the engaging Adam Lubbock,  through to Sharon Sverdloff and Yasemin Wigglesworth, who were always there at the end of the phone (as well as on webinars and training events) have, and continue to make our journey an exciting one. We would like to thank Adam Lubbock for his enlightening, and never boring webinars! And the rest of the team for sharing their vast knowledge.
We are delighted to be part of the AEGIS Family and look forward to progressing and enhancing our skills and knowledge within the world of Safeguarding.   Thank you everyone at AEGIS!”
