    About Us

AEGIS, the Association for the Education & Guardianship of International Students, is the only independent, accrediting body in the UK for guardianship organisations and offers a robust, well-established inspection process.

Incorporated in 1997, and registered as a charity in 2005, by a group of guardianship organisations and UK boarding schools, we promote universally high standards in guardianship, safeguarding the welfare and education of international students studying in the UK.

We offer guidance and relevant training to those guardianship organisations seeking accreditation and re-accreditation.

Through our strong links with the Department for Education and the British Council, we give informed advice and support to guardians and schools hosting international students and overseas parents looking to send their children to study in the UK.

AEGIS is a registered charity, charity number 1111384.
